They went in with the RIGHT intentions, in a climate of what it was.
But it does show that you have got something to worry about.
Mistakes do happen, I don't think we need more armed police, the whole terror thing gets overplayed by the media. More people die in car crashes but that doesn't saturate the news channels.

There is nothing wrong with the police being armed. Listen, I used to live in France, they are all armed, it's not a big deal.

someone on Twitter yesterday made the observation that he really doesn't "know why the Yanks have a shit fit when we (europe) have a terror incident when every single day in the US there are headlines such as '4 people shot dead in argument inside restaurant' etc"

I get the impression that the media actually like it when something like this happens. On Friday I got into my car, turned Radio London on and the first word I heard was 'terror'. The daily mirror (not that I buy it but my Mum still does) had something like the first 15 pages dedicated to the Westminster attacks.
It plays into the hands of the terrorists. What happened outside Westminster was horrible and must have been devastating for those directly effected, but in the grand scheme of things it wasn't really that big a deal. Bad things happen every day in a City of 12 million people.
