I don't see a problem with Muslim women wearing these. They may look daft but at least it allows muslim women to swim and have fun at the beach like any other person.

A fair question, I think it has something to do with the rise of Wahhabism but it may just be because someone had to invent it and it was only invented recently.

According to this Muslim designer on Channel 4 news, they have been around for some time. It's only now that women are choosing to wear them. I still think some are using this in order to provoke. Surely strict Muslim men wouldn't want their women around half naked men anyway???

TBF if someone tried telling what i could or couldn't wear by law i'd try to piss them off too.

If I went to a Muslim country, I would cover up more, even though I'm an atheist, I would respect their religion. So why shouldn't they respect our ways? It's all one way-their way. Sorry but we're too tolerant. Saying that, there's plenty of beached whales that could do with a burkini.
