Suitably futuristic, the Electronic Architecture imprint hosts the mighty "Shibui", a double-headed release by Super-Frog Saves Tokyo. This may, or may not, have something to do with Solarstone with its rhythm section and its futurist bass-lines. There's also a bit hemispheric about it. Like its taken a bit of "Hemispheres" by J00F and Solarstone as part of its inspiration. That's what it sounds like to me anyway!
My pick of the two is "Reactivate", which has been, on another release, given a Retouch by the Pure Trance man himself. Here, we have the original 9 minute epic to keep us company and waerm us up before Spring begins. Well, we are in February after all.
Like many recents on the I Like It Pure empire of labels, this debuted on Pure Trance 10 in its Retouch form but it finally makes its arrival as a full release. Check out the Retouch by the way. its boss. Both tracks on this double-header are well worth your coin but its Reactivate that kicks ass in my book.
