SAT 26TH AUGUST 2006
CARLING BRIXTON ACADEMY, LONDON

www.southwestfour.com

Following the success of last year’s official South West Four after party we are proud to announce that the promoters have secured the very same venue; the legendary Carling Brixton Academy for the second year running to offer 4,500 hardcore party people the chance to dance on through until sunrise to one of the best DJs on the planet (as voted in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll) the Dutch destroyer that is Armin Van Buuren.

Having spent the last three years holding firm at No.3 in this prestigious poll, Armin has successfully made the transition from fast rising star to one of the leading lights in the upper echelons of trance – and beyond. From releasing the massive ‘Blue Fear’ at the tender age of 19 which was widely hailed by many as the blueprint for trance as we know it today through to winning ‘Best Radio Show’ and ‘Best Compilation Album’ at last year’s Miami Winter Music Conference Awards as well as repeating this performance AND winning best DJ at this years Trance Awards, Armin is truly one of the biggest and best DJs on this planet!

Joining Armin in the main room will be Radio 1’s Judge Jules and trance big guns John Askew from Kiss FM, Gavyin Mitchell, Ian Betts and one half of Dogzilla Simon Patterson.

The Foyer sees South London’s favourite Sunday afternoon event PUSH drop tough and dirty house music featuring the incredible King Unique headlining alongside PUSH residents whilst Formula (famous for their parties at The Key and Match Bar) take control of The Balcony and hot London club nights Digital Love & Bambina keep the VIP Room rocking til dawn.

SOUTH WEST FOUR 2006

Following two years of completely sold out events the South West Four festival returns with a vengeance in 2006 offering two days of the ‘definitive who’s who’ of today’s dance music DJs. Featuring many weekend exclusives across both cities, the South West Four festival shifts up a gear this summer to host the ultimate dance music weekend. This year’s talisman is a DJ who needs little introduction, Carl Cox. Carl enjoyed last summer’s event so much he asked to return to headline both days this year as South West Four’s exclusive host. Joining Carl in both Cardiff and London will be some of the globe’s best-loved and most respected spinners including Paul Oakenfold, Radio1’s Pete Tong, Bedrock’s pioneering John Digweed, Global Underground hero Danny Howells, former Radio 1 DJ and Type boss Seb Fontaine, Ibiza King Steve Lawler, Gallery super resident Tall Paul, Italian techno master Mauro Picotto alongside many many others!
