I wonder if it's unique aroma will carry over to the luxury flats sure to be built in it's place.

"Aurora Apartments, Urban Living in Vauxhall, with the distinct smell of bums. The smell of men's bums. The inside of men's bums."

That does have a certain ring to it.

The state of London clubland at the moment is quite depressing, this is one of the many reasons I voted Brexit was to take some of the heat off of London before it spirals out of control.I work near Turnmills, which is now an uninspiring office block.I took a look around the back of King Cross last week, who ever designed the google office block should be shot.Other than that it all looks nice but not a patch on the old Bagleys and Cross setup. It looks like Eggs days are likley numbered as the are building a huge residential complex opposite.I was in Vauxhall last night for We Love Soul at the Lightbox but the whole area is very quiet compared to the past, though Union was open this time.I was with my children a couple of weeks ago in Tooley street I mentioned to them what a hive of clubbing it used to be,we lost four clubs there SE1,Shunt,Cable and Jacks.Fabric closed for the moment,we almost lost the MOS and Bussey building last year to developers, the SW1 is going at the end of this year and the Coronet may have a bit of extra time but is likley to go soon. The End,Mass,The Glasshouse,Centre Point club,Astoria and many others all gone.Hackney Wick,Dalston,Shoreditch and Brixton are all under threat.Studio 338 burnt down. Most of the new replacement clubs are basically warehouse sites which are afraid to invest any money in case their days are numbered it all very depressing for the next generation.

Yepo, mind you I find warehouse venues (the laundry for example) or places like Studio Spaces or Oval Space more interesting than most polished clubs and they suit the sort of music currently popular (techno/deep house for the main part but occasionally psy), house seems to be making a bit of a resurgence, not massively but in bars suited to it.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those that could not hear the music -Nietzsche

I went to studio spaces when it first opened on New Years Eve (probably not the best time to go)three years ago, didnt like it much and never returned again. The oval space I go to regularly for Morning Glory once a month, but I see it in daylight, whilst I do like the promotion I don't really rate the club itself.I have been to the Laundry and returning again this New Year, but I must admit its not one of my favourites.I never really rated the Hackney Wick clubs, except CR8 and the one that's now closed was quite good in its outside parts.
I quite liked the new Bridge club, which hosted the Elrow afterparty (owned by studio 338 owners)I like everything at the Tobacco Dock I did like studio 338(particularly in the summer) and also the POW club (in the summer) and the Brixton beach.I don't mind the Brixton Jamm.
I don't go to much Psy trance nowdays but it was good about six or so years ago when there were a lot of illegal parties put on by Brazilians.

I am now trying out a few parties with crowds that are nearer my age such as Soul Boat,Goldmine Club and other Caister Soul type gatherings I must admit that because I never left the club scene I now seem to have more energy than those of my age.
