Hey lovely HF team, it's been a while since I have uploaded a photoset on to HF (lack of my arse being out for a bounce as often as it should) but was hoping there may of been an upgrade to the upload feature that would allow users to upload multiple images as a time to a photoset.
Just wondered if there were any plans for this in the near future?
Our hands are tied with this version of the site - we can't integrate modern technology with the existing setup and it is very costly in terms of time and money to develop these features from scratch. We have been working on a new version of the site but that's a labour of love which is done in spare time so I can't make any promises.
Funnily enough, I ran through this exact procedure the other day to upload my Winston Memorial images and I have to agree, it's very cumbersome compared to Facebook, Wordpress or in fact any modern site.
The main issue I noticed is the 8Mb zip file size limit; that was fine back in the day of 200k images but I had to create quite a few to get my pictures uploaded. I can look into increasing this, think we can set to 16Mb fairly easily and maybe a multiple.

Hey Matt,
Good to see you as always. Your answer pretty much summed up my thoughts as to why. HF is indeed a labour of love and spare time is few and far between, it's great it is still going.
The 8mb file size wasnt an issue for me, as I normally reduce the size of my images to 1000px-1500px on the long side when uploading to the web and he speed of each upload is nice and nippy too.
It was actually quite nostalgic to post up a photoset on here, been a while, think Jedi Paul's fundraiser was the last time and god knows before then. Still debating whether I should bring my wit (sarcasm) back to the general forums again
If there is already a new version being worked on then no point in getting distracted in the mean time when the ultimate goal is already in progress.
Will have a think and bounce a couple of ideas off a friend of mine when slightly less snowed under and let you know if we have any creative workarounds!
But looking at photo uploads, we've had 2 this year (ours) and one last year, so I don't think it's a pressing issue. People tend to share on FB which supports more formats including video so we're not likely to compete.
I'll check the 8-16Mb maximum zip file size, that would certainly have reduced the number I created and uploaded and see us through.
