Oh and there's a special place in hell for people who change toaster settings (of which there should only really be 1).

Staff at a Tesco service station who refused to serve my friend's daughter after she had filled up because she didn't look old enough to buy petrol and didn't have any I.D.

If you're driving a car then surely it's self-evident that you are old enough (16+) to buy petrol? What happened next though - if they wouldn't take the money off her did she just drive off with free fuel or what?

She is a very feisty young lady and after an argument she thanked them for the free petrol and made towards her car. The staff then decided to relent and let her pay. The cashier seemed to think that it was over 18 to buy fuel.

A chap who live around the corner who I have only just stared doing business with has asked for payment a month in advance because he needs to buy something for his business and is short of cash.

I have been on my arse before but would never let a customer know. I would borrow from Mum, my brother in law, my best mate, but never a customer. It's only a couple of hundred quid.
