What they hate is when people take a deal and then faff around with copy or proofs, well not the salespeople who just want to close a deal, but the publication in general.
£100 sounds like a great deal, did you call them or did they call you?

They called me, it was the first issue of the year so always a slow one for the fairs section. He wanted £150 but I made out that I didn't really want it and then said I would for £100. It was a really big advert, I used it to do a list of my events for the next quarter.
Somebody called the day it came out and booked a stall, which paid for the advert.
