Worked in a vinyl factory making folders on a plastic moulding machine in the middle of summer, the machine blew hot air on to me each time it pressed down. I lasted a few weeks but it made me determined to get a proper job and not be stuck in a factory my whole life like some of the long term old bags with faces like smacked arses. I'd probably recommend it to a parent trying to steer their teenager in the right direction, make them work in a horrible factory for a few weeks they'll soon sort themselves out! Then there was the cardboard box factory where my job was to peel the strip off some sticky backed plastic and stick it onto a bit of cardboard which would eventually make part of the box for a J-Lo excercise DVD box set. Oh, and the picking bone fragments out of chicken breast fillets in a meat-packing plant but I only did that for a day before I realised it cost me half the day's wage just to get to work and eat a sandwich. Oh, and the working in the hospital laundry, that was shit too.
