Merkel fucked this one up big time. It's come back to bite her on the ass. That said, more could be done for asylum seekers than calling them utter scumbags and letting them live in squalid conditions.

Not really, the traffickers need more "customers" so I expect they'll reduce their prices to appeal to more people and I expect there's a corresponding reduction in safety.
