Thanks for having a listen.
Everything was either promos from Techno labels or purchased from the Techno sections of Beatport or Juno so might have to have a word that they're mislabeling stuff. One oft the tracks that even I thought was a little on the house side was labelled as Hard Techno!
I try not to get too hung up anyway, just looking for what works in the set and whilst I like a certain sound of Techno, I still want a bit of variety in the mix.

Yeah, it obviously boils down to personal preference. There is tech house masquerading as techno everywhere. Look at Elrow, all that namby pamby, karaoke "techno" Its fucking house music FFS, dont leach off the success of real techno which has always been pretty driving (from what I have learnt over the years)
People like Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones can get to fuck saying they are techno DJ's, load of bollocks as its tech and prog most of the time.
But as I said, I would happily listen to it on the tube to work, no worries there but if I was out at a festival and there were other stages, Id probably leave after giving you 15 minutes as I really hate the housey side of techno and think tech and prog are really boring (especially when they get those fucking bongo drums going haha fuck off )
Totally my preference though, I like doof doof from start to finish but your mix will obviously be liked my many. The actual mixing and going from tune to tune gets 10/10.
Could you do a mix when you have a spare hour of doof doof (or what you would class as doof doof) as would love to hear your take on doof doof as your mixing is on point

I have got some tougher 130BPM stuff. I'll see what I can cobble together when I get some time.
Oh and thanks. This was the first mix I did on my XDJ RX... It's a joy to mix with but the levels are a little distorted in the mix sometimes. I'll need to practice a bit more. Then I might have the guts to use the FX in the mix as well.
