Afterparty @ Ministry Of Sound with TOOLROOM KNIGHTS 4TH BIRTHDAY (Mark Knight 7 hr set, Jaguar Skills)

www.electronicsessions.co.uk

2010 has definitely been our best year to date. Some massive line ups, debutants and international Djs have graced the ES turntables. Moving the headliners downstairs has helped a lot, especially with the crowd interaction and no one will dispute me when I say Riley and Durrant played one of the best sets we have ever had on the board. They were truly appreciated by the crowd stomping away and the feedback was so good we have immediately booked them up for next year, so watch this space.

October’s party brings another fresh and innovative line up to the table. We are bringing the Toolroom sound to the boat party in the shape of GINA STAR. This young American Dj from Dallas is on her way to stardom and we are very excited to get her down. She will be joined on board by one of the most exciting electronic music talents of 2010 ACTIVA. We will be doing discounted joint tickets for the afterparty with TOOLROOM KNIGHTS celebrating their 4th birthday, so this is a real bargain. MARK KNIGHT will be playing all night. See at the bottom for ticket details.

Activa

http://www.activamusic.co.uk

In a relatively short time since his first release on Somatic Sense, Rob Stevenson, better known as Activa, has been one of the most hard working producers in the Trance genre. He has created many new alias’ such as Solar Movement, Mekk, Substate, Force One, Aira Force, CMR and Eluna to showcase the range of his production skills, while continuously developing the sound of his main Activa alias.

Rob has appeared on the likes of Spinnin (Liquid), Discover, High Contrast, Black Hole, Enhanced, Somatic Sense and finally Paul van Dyk’s mighty Vandit Records which has enabled him to push his way into the record boxes of the biggest names in the industry and receive their continuous support.

As an engineer Rob has worked closely with Jon O’Bir to create Jon’s first artist album, From Within and has engineered and produced, singles and remixes for Jon, Aled Mann (Discover), Owen Clark (Club Elite), Freesoup (Five AM), Chris & Matt Kidd (Joyride) and David Newsum (Discover), clearly showing the range and diversity of Rob’s production skills.

Although he is primarily known as a producer, Rob has been DJing since his first experience with a pair of turntables while at school. He has gone on to play at the biggest nights in the UK including Gatecrasher and Passion and regularly travels the UK and often abroad to perform.

If that wasn’t enough, Rob also owns and runs Conspiracy Recordings along with Jon O’Bir and Kev Ribbens. The label, which has grown rapidly in the first few years, has had massive support from the biggest names in the industry including regular appearances on Armin’s ASOT, Above & Beyond’s TATW, VONYC Sessions, Sound garden as well as Radio 1 and various other FM radio support.

The label has developed a reputation of showcasing brand new music from new artists, has helped kick start the careers of Tom Colontonio, Anguilla Project and Peter Martijn Wijnea, as well as releasing tracks from more well known artists like Ian Betts, Dan Stone and Peter Dafnous.

This is Rob’s second appearance for us after performing so outstandingly for us last Christmas. He is not to be missed!!

Gina Star

http://www.djginastar.com

Gina Star is a DJ & producer originally from Dallas, Texas and after moving to LA in 2006 to further her career, she was hailed by the LA Times and E! Entertainment as one of the most talented and sought after DJ’s in the city. She moved across the pond to the UK in 2009 to further her DJ & production career, and she is a currently a resident DJ for Toolroom Knights. In 2010 Gina released ‘This Is Hollywood’ featuring Roland Clark on Tool room’s ‘Leaders Of The New School’ imprint, which entered the Beatport Top 100 at 10, and 1 on the Progressive House chart.

This is her debut performance on the boat for us and her first UK boat party appearance. Don’t miss her set of driving and pumping prog and tech. The trademark Toolroom sound!!

Once again the boat parties wouldn’t be the same without the supporting cast and we have a real treat in store with some of our finest guests on the ES rotor. Resident Jez Eyre will be making his first appearance since July and he will be joined on deck by rising stars Shane Fernandes, Nick Varley & Owen Howells and Miss Shell making her first ES appearance. Supporting Gina Star will be Shane Fernandes, Baratone, Redefine and Kev Broad & St Drake. Finally we have another newcomer in John Melas who performed so well for us at Plastic Fondu and an ES favourite in Digital Liquid.

This is a party not to be missed!!
