Glad the night went well, I've been to a few proper club nights out in the sticks (Chatham I remember well) and they have been some of the best nights I've had.
Welcome to the site as well Dragonfly
Thanks for the warm welcome all
Anyone here ever go to Out In the Sticks @ Blue Note in Todmorden - one of my fav house nights! shame it closed down. But is amazing how many great house nights started in weird small towns: Eclipse in Coventry; Shelleys, Entrophy and Golden in Stoke; Angels in Burnley; Renaissance in Mansfield; The Orbit in Morley; Progress in Derby; Hard Times in Mirfield. All of them were real bangin' nights.

Still hope for Ashford then
you know your parties.

Is there anyway you could persuade the bar management to keep it open upstairs till 3am and close the downstairs, if need be, at 2 am. It was really stupid last time as there were more people upstairs with you at 2 and they closed if off early and virtually empty down stairs. IMHO for a night to work with club music going past 2am when the beer boys have met their limits is the best part. I used to sometimes go to a club at 1:30am because of this.

It was actually my choice to stop the party just after 2am upstairs. I wanted to leave it on a high rather than just let it 'fade out' so blame me
We rocked it til 2.15 and downstairs was packed til gone 2.30 so it was a good move IMO.... I'll judge each situation on it's own. It's all about the party ending on a high for me and it always will be.

My apologies and you are very right on that - it is better to finish it on a high and leave us wanting more Yes it was busy downstairs, after we all came down
