www.soundcloud.com/opeum - the song is called delicious

Ello people, been a while since i posted as ive been super busy moving house again... Just been in the studio for the first time in weeks tonight and ive updated a techtrance tune that i uploaded to soundcloud ages ago... The mix is still a bit off, the bass is too loud for starters and also the arrangement needs alot of work...

Changes since last time are the drums have been layered EQ'd and compressed, the break is a bit more complete and it has some leads in there now too... Any thoughts and feedback on it welcome...

I tried adding that soundloud box directly on here but it uploaded someone elses song Bangs Head

Thumbs up

dude, absolutely loving this track - this is the kind of tech trance i love. very gritty, top stuff

what i would say is where the main riff thing hits at 3:00 there seems to be some clicking with each note - does that make sense? is it possible to change the envelope so this doesn't occur?

anyway, awesome tune - had me bouncing around Smile

Hey matey, long time no speak. Smile

I had a quick listen. Very nice groove going on there.

I like the bassline and percussion and all the sounds fit very nicely together. Only thing I'd like to hear are some key changes in the bassline after the main break. Maybe it's not intended in tech trance, but I think it would add nicely to the groove.

How about you finish off some of these incomplete tracks? You've been busy with some of these for months and months!

Hope you're well bud. Thumbs up

Very nice little number my friend.

Has a nice grove to it. The synths and percs are very clean an nicely layered. Breakdown is very nice, builds simply and nicely, the lead that comes is a nice switch, I liked the pitch automation on this lead, a very nice touch, the strings to drop are nice addition but at the moment they are a little to over powering to lead. Maybe you can add some kind of filtering and light distortion to the lead in this stage.

Drops nicely into a higher paced grooved which is should at this stage of the track.

I like the bass, it has a slightly rough and tough sound to it in the top end but I think the bass needs a nice supporting pure sub bass! The kinda bass you can feel but not hear just goove the track more air. for an idea have a listen to BK Tuff Luv - he is knocking out some excellent tech trance at the moment.

But overall very good work in the making which is only a few touches away from being another quality production from you fella. Keep it up at this level and you will see yourself going far. Thumbs up

Thanks for the kind words people, glad its been well recieved so far...

Trev - Yes mate i know the clicking you are on about, that lead is eventually going to have automations on the attack and release, i was fucking about with it before i bounced it all down and i only realised that i had too much attack on it after i bounced it down, well spotted though Its all going Pete Tong

Pero - Indeed fella, how are you doing ??? I hope all is going well for you... My soundcloud page is for all of my ideas and unfinished tunes, some of them get finished quicker than others, it all depends on how much engineering work i have and when i get a spare minute to work on stuff for myself which is a bit of a pain but it has to be done... I will be sorting them out asap though dont you worry Thumbs up

Nick - Thanks for the comments mate, ill look into the bass idea, one thing on this tune that has been a nightmare has been the bass, i listened to the bass so much the other day that my ears started getting confused so i thought i best leave it before i fucked it up completely... Big grin

Cheers again people Thumbs up

very nice indeed matey. Really loving it, could do with a few more bells and whistles in the effects, but i think your clip said you need to add them. Its got some immensely cool stuttering effects going on that i'm really enjoying, top work, would love to see this one get finished. Thumbs up

Married now, fo shizzle.
