Have a look at the Wikipedia Page for the politician who runs the LFB. Hardly fit for purpose really is he:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Coleman

Quote:

In April 2004 Coleman was against Middlesex University's plans to expand its Trent Park campus because it was "a crap university

He speaks the truth.

Quote:

During his time as a councillor in the London Borough of Barnet, Coleman has built up a reputation as an outspoken supporter of car driving, leading Richard Littlejohn to label him a "hero" for introducing a policy of removing road humps when the roads of Barnet are resurfaced

I live in Barnet, speed humps are few and far between. I can forgive this man a lot on this effort alone. He does generally sound like a bit of a bellend though.

speed humps are annoying. They don't really stop people driving above the speed limit, they cause people to use much more petrol (slowing to a near stop to go over the hump then accelerating hard again) and vastly increase wear and tear on brakes, suspension system and subframe. Some of them are so f*****g humpy they scratch up the front of your car.

Since Roman times, civilisation has strived to ease transport by providing straight, well-surfaced roads, and yet some dick has the bright idea of ruining all those centuries of hard work with a clumsy, ineffective solution that causes more problems than it solves, yet people blindly go on making the same mistake over and over again.

However, this Brian guy sounds like a total dick apart from his views on speed bumps.

I laughed when I saw they, the fireman had backed out of the strike.

All you need is a skeleton crew covering the fire service on the most risky night of the year to do the job adequately well and inadvertently prove that the fire services are grossly overstaffed and thus make the whole cause (strikes) look like pathetic selfish exertion of power.

I didn't want to say this yesterday.

So you'd be happy that your loved ones' lives would have been in the hands of part-timers with 2 weeks training or whatever? Give me a pro any day of the week, no matter how "unskilled and retarded" they may be lol Thumbs up

Big grin

I tried to find the clip where he does psychedelics
"it's like seeing for the first time... so many different shades of grey!"

...but I can't find it on YouTube. Did find Season One on rapidshare as a result of this thread though so fair play. They need to bring back Spitting Image IMO.
