Following on from the thread about capitalism. I've just got back from the pub and having a good ol talk about london. its not only capitalism thats wrong. Its all of it just in this country:

Its the general feeling I get living here that I'm not getting value for my time and money, I.e a quality of life which i've been told i get but don't see. Waiting for buses which are full when they finally arrive or being stuck on the tube cause of signal failure or some such. Constantly queueing for things, like the bank or the supermarket. Not being able to get a my tooth fixed on the NHS. Earning what should be a good wage, but seeing it all go on tax and NI and bills and more council tax and rent. Having to work more unpaid hours than I need or want to because everyone else does. The aggro and the hassle and the weirdos and the unfriendly cliques and the lack of human respect for each other.

And all of it was bearable until smoking got banned. The last hedonistic pleasure outlawed and its just become uncivilised in this country...Bad rugs, everything costs too much, shit weather, and all my taxes going to some fat cunt because everything is privatised. I'm not happy. And besides the great sounds (hard house and acid techno and psy trance) and the good times, London for me has become a shit place to live. I'm seriously off to more civilised climes come the autumn, where the sun shines and the trains run on time and the country is run for the people who live there and not some cunt who just wants to make a fast buck and is propped up by crap laws that make it great for him and shit for the rest of us.

Rant over

Smile

I'm in a bad mood. The pub I was in smelt of bad drains. And it was £4 for a gls of wine. And you can't smoke. And the music was shit. And it used to be the George 4, as my friend who lives in the past kept going on about. And TBH.... Bangs Head
