Ok...going travelling for a year very soon. Either this side of christmas or later in Jan.

Bit confused as STA travel told me that i can apply for both once in my lifetime.
If i want to work in either, during my travels i need one. In oz can get one via the net easily, and it wont expire till im 30 and 11 months of age. (im 27 by the way) so that to me sounds cool. Able to go back if i want to to work up until that age.

The new zealand one...they said that i could get one...and it only lasts for two years...but then advised not to get both at the same time as i cannot apply for them at any other time in my life. Though i thought you can only apply for NZ under the age of 28?

Hmm.... i think ive confused myself on this one and STA didnt explain it very well. They were busy...

Going to have a look on web..but any help appreciated.... is it silly to get both if i intend working in both countries? or is it more sensible to apply for one and then wait to see if i ever travel over that way again?... hmm
Confused

Dont think you can stay more then two years unless your getting sponsored. Same rules as i have here i think.

Stewie : Ok, now if a fax can i stay online and recieve the fax without a dedicated line?
Cuban Salesman : Yeah, you can put a piece of paper in here, and make like a phone call, and your friend will get another piece of paper with the same picture
Stewie : Can i possibly speak to someone who didn't come to this country on a floating door?

I'm pretty sure the age limit is 30 for NZ, not 28.

Edit: and I'm sure that the Australia Working Holiday visa is only for 1 year??? from date of entry into country.

If you are a UK national you can get a 12 month working holiday visa for Australia, then youi can apply to extend it for a further 12 months.

New Zealand I'm unsure of. I think you can apply for a working holiday visa if you are in the country, but not from Australia.

Best have a look at this website because it's been about 5 years since I lived out that way!!!

STA travel are wank and I wouldn't rely on a single word they spout! You're much better off getting a current copy of the LP guide for NZ and Australia imo....
