Art Of Trance

» Seven Sisters

Label: Platipus Records
Format: Digital
Genre: Trance

Platipus head honcho Art Of Trance unveils the Seven Sisters, his newest opus on the famous trance imprint. Following Mariana, which featured a remix by Berlin's acidmeister Torsten Fassbender, Seven Sisters is yet another cavernous foray into deep widescreen trance. Gone are the nature sounds and the innocence of the world; this is pure deep indulgence of the highest calibre. With remixes from Athens' Basil O'Glue and Berliner Torsten Fassbender for support, this is yet another slab of Platipus finery to sink your teeth into.

For me, its the Basil O'Glue mix that immediately transfixes me with its deep-ended layers of melodic trance. Fassbender's mix pushes all the right acidic buttons and is very reminiscent of his Mariana remix on the previous release. My only gripe is it seems to be a very long time between releases but I suppose in this saturated environment of new music every week, its to be expected.
