Label: Ner0
Format: Digital
Genre: Hard Trance

After a quiet period, I am very happy to see Ner0 finally back on the trail again after a bit of a quiet period over the last few months. I was actually given this tune ages ago but then it called something else and was listed as being a Craig Stuart meets Sixth Sense production, but with it being sent to me again to review has made me realise just how good it is because I had actually forgot (to my shame!)

The original has a nicely womped bass line but maybe lacks a little punch with the kick, which I feel could come through the mix a bit more, but other than that I cant really fault it. The synth here is lovely, it glides over the beat so well it might as well not be there, and the breakdown is pure bliss. Strings and bass pads combine to excellent effect, cranking the euphoria levels way up to the max.
The notation of the intro riff is very trance like and it would definitely suit a remix in that style, but then it effortlessly turns into the Hard Trance monster that I knew was coming. It again lacks a slight punch with the drop, but as it seems to have been made with more of the trancey side in mind it does kind of make sense.

On remix duties is Mauguzun, the Swedish super producer who seems to have the golden touch it seems. This remix is much more in a hard trance style it seems, but it loses none of its impact or euphoria. Immaculately placed bass changes really set this one out, not where you’d expect but they sound excellent, really driving the tune on into the breakdown. It’s not as deep as some of his more recent stuff, but then this was probably made quite some time ago.
The breakdown is just as lush here as with the original, with an added break beat sequence, but that’s not to take away from the main riff solo, which sounds just great filtering up. This is followed by the king of all drops afterwards which for me means that yet again Mauguzun re-writes the rulebook on how to do a remix and totally destroy it at the same time. Is there no stopping this man?
