Earth Inc. is an alias of Ralph Novell, a name much more recognisable. Strong is a uplifting trance track to start with, but it has traits that you would normally find in hard trance tunes. The bass is an off beat one that’s standard for hard trance tunes, but it’s been considerably toned down here. The percussion is quite shuffled which I don’t usually like in trance tracks, but it works fine here. A very simple lead runs over the tune from very early, but it’s got so much delay on it that it sounds like a full riff while it builds into the breakdown. Here the pads take over for a short while before the riff shows itself. The riff is nothing to write home about and is very simple, and the lack of energy from the drop was a bit of a let down for me.
Thankfully Luca Antolini and Andrea Montorsi are on hand to deliver the first remix. These two Italians very rarely disappoint as far as hard trance goes, and this is no exception. It starts a lot techier this time round, with some trademark stabs and an all new vocal added to the mix. The bass drops very well, but what I love about it is it changes from being an off beat to a double note which is very interesting. There are lots of Scot Project similarities here, but that’s certainly no bad thing. The breakdown is much more energetic and the riff sounds far more interesting that it does in the original. Quite what they have changed I don’t know, but whatever it was, it worked! The drop is worked so much better and this time contains loads of energy. Definitely my choice so far!
The last remix comes courtesy of Karybde & Scylla who have had previous releases and remixes on this label and are definitely starting to make more of a name for themselves. Here they deliver a very euphoric trancer that’s not far off the sound of Sean Tyas for my money. The first pads being after just over a minute and work a treat over the beat, and when you throw in some Piano you’ve got the making of a very uplifting trancer. The breakdown is very long here. The pads are in no rush, there are some interesting dolphin noises that seem to have been randomly added also, and the pianos also get their own solo. When it finally drops after a mega breakdown it was definitely worth the wait, and definitely my choice over the original for me.
