If I was a cynical kind of guy then just looking at the title “fairydreams” would lead me to believe that this would be a really fluffy, possibly vocal trance track.
Oh now wrong I was!

Before I start this review let me first state that I was not sent this tune to review, no one gave me this track as a promo, I am kissing no ones arse by reviewing this and before last week I had never heard of the label of the artists involved.
Indeed, this is available to download right now, as it was released on Feb 21st. Why am I reviewing it? Simple. Because this tune rocks and you NEED to be told about it!

The original is a dark, almost techy hard trancer. A subtle yet growling bass pulsates away before even a beat is dropped, surrounded by tight as you like percussion that always stays the right side of minimal. Ethereal pads begin to rise before the main break, supported by two different pianos which sound superb. A strange, warped vocal hits just before it drops back in, giving it not only plenty of energy but also added depth.
As much as I love the original, the Lady Shamiira Remix has to be my tune of the year so far. It has everything I look for in a Hard Trance production; pounding kicks, menacing hard bass, tight yet minimal percussion.
Before you even know it, the bass has slapped you in your chops and you’re into the first mini breakdown already, which uses Pan to great effect to create almost a sense of urgency. As before, a swooping pad filters up over the beat in the introduction of the main break, only difference being is sounds even fuller, richer and lusher (if that even is a word!) than the original. The pianos have been taken out from the breakdown, but given the harder nature of this track I can certainly understand why. And when it finally drops, all can say is, if you show me a tune more worthy of my £1.49, I will show you a future anthem. Click the link to see what it is I am raving about. Superb stuff!

10/10
