After a break of far too long for my liking, I almost wet myself when I found a link to a promo of the new tune on Druck sitting in my inbox.
Thinking they (like many other labels) had gone the way of the dodo, I can honestly say that this was a very nice surprise.
But not only is this just another tune on another label, it’s a follow up tune from the Godfather him self, Scot Project!
The original Tocs – 1 tune was absolutely fantastic, with the only drawback being the stupidly long intro sequence, and that the Kan Cold remix was an utter waste of Vinyl.
However, Scot Project has moved on since he made 1 under his Tocs guise, and this tune is completely different, so I will try to avoid comparing them.
Scot Project Remix 1
In all honesty I have never really had much time for Scot Projects new tunes since he started producing Tech Trance, with the exception of his remix of For the Love of a Princess. For tech-trance though this is actually pretty dam fine.
It starts well, with good use of filtered percussion leading to a hollow kick, but the bass is the star here. It might be straight out of an electro track, but it works very well with everything.
This then is taken over by a pounding and frantic bass which just oozes energy, and carries the track nicely into the break. Hi pitched tech stabs combine with the distorted electro bass womp and one of the fastest snare fills I have heard in ages, before the tune goes off again.
I thought that was it, and I was thinking “6 out of 10”, when in comes a searing pad which has reach for the lasers written all over it. Then when the high pitched riff comes in again I understand where he was coming from a lot more production wise just that it took him a little while to get there.
Much more like the Frank Zenker of old. Monumental stuff!
I was a little disappointed though that after the breakdown the tune starts again with just bass and a kick, the riff slowly fades in which I think doesn’t work and lacks energy.
But i'm not about to tell the Godfather how to make a tune, so by all means ignore me!

Scot Project Remix 2
Now this is what I’m talking about! DJ Scot Project, Hard Trance legend is BACK! Finally! This is what I have been waiting for him to produce, and hopefully this is just the beginning.
But where do I start?
The slightly break beat with filtered percussion intro – great.
The use of vocal – great
The bass introduction – great
Infact, there isn’t much about this I don’t think is great. The moving bass is full of surprises and is constantly chopping and changing, keeping you well on your toes.
The breakdown is just amazingly well done. Starting with a lush riff and subtle pad that is truly euphoric, it then explodes into life with bass swoops and driving percussion, building up the energy before taking it back down again, almost like he’s playing with you.
When it finally drops back in I can only see one thing happening: total dance floor destruction!
I can almost feel how much he enjoyed making this track and getting back to his hard trance roots, as it starts of like a techy hard trance tune, but it certainly doesn’t finish that way. I really can’t stress enough how much fun this tune is, perfectly blending hard and tech trance into a truly monstrous tune that deserves to get caned by every DJ with a decent taste in music.
I look forward to hearing this motherfucker on a large rig, god only knows how good it is going to sound and what damage it is going to do! This ones going straight into my CD wallet. Brap!
9/10
