More: After last week’s spectacular 12th Birthday you’d think that The Gallery would take it nice and easy on Friday 18th May… but hell no, that just ain’t our style! Instead, we bring in our ‘new year’ by showcasing yet more of the world’s leading DJs, kicking off this week with an exclusive appearance from deadly Dutchman Ferry Corsten. Making his 2nd Gallery appearance of the year so far, the legendary jock/producer/remixer will headline this week’s huge line-up, which will undoubtedly see The Gallery faithful turn out in force. Last year was another immensely successful year for the World No. 6 DJ, with the release of his ‘L.E.F’ album – picking up from where its predecessor ‘Right of Way’ left off. Having pretty much spear-headed the first wave of Dutch producers in the late 90s and that unstoppable euphoric trance sound, these days Ferry’s sound has progressed to hooky rock influences via his forward-thinking electro-trance fusion. Having made his production name under various guises such as System F, Moonman, Gouryella and Veracocha, Ferry is very much his own man these days. He recently collaborated with hip hop guru, Guru (!) on a reworking of his classic ‘Punk’ smash and remains one of the most popular DJs on the circuit. Joining Ferry will be fellow countrymen M.I.K.E and Ronald Van Gelderen – completing an awe-inspiring Dutch hat-trick. Like Ferry, M.I.K.E is arguably the next biggest producer from Holland on that whole ‘90s euphoric trance’ tip. Under his Push moniker, M.I.K.E was responsible for such classics as Strange World, Universal Nation and The Legacy and still remains one of the best in the business. Ronald Van Gelderen meanwhile is a newcomer in comparison to these two greats, but boy he is giving it his best shot… already establishing himself as one of the hottest DJs on the European circuit. The hotly-tipped Sean Tyas takes over for the nights big hands-in-the-air finale, with Subbass DJ Academy head honcho Graeme Lloyd setting the pace early doors.

Next up in T2, we welcome back monthly cohorts Going Places to present more ‘Adventures in International House Music’. Having unearthed a brilliant selection of global guests over the past 3 years, the Going Places gang deliver another little gem this month in the shape of Ignas – the greatest DJ export from clubbing hotspot (!) Lithuania. Ignas is the resident spinner at Exit, the biggest club in the capital city of Vilnius. He’s got a remix forthcoming on Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi label and we can’t wait to hear his tribal/electro bashing in the intimate T2 space. Going Places group leader Tania von Pear will meanwhile tear up more housey breaks, backed up by the latest GP recruits Ben Gomori and Ilana Belsky. Rock on my friends. The Gallery brings yet more musical mayhem this week too, as techno dons Kinetec return to fire up the Juno Rooms in T3 good n’ proper. With a very special guest TBA, residents Dave Randall, Thermobee and James Kinetec will also oversee the beats, so you know you’re in for one helluva ride!!
