January saw Kix step up to a new level, with by far our most successful event to date… and now we’re back for another month, once again bringing you some of the finest Hard Dance talent in the UK.
Kernzy & Klemenza have been a firm fixture on the clubbing scene for longer than they’d probably care to remember, both of them having been DJing for over a decade. They got their break as a hard house duo back in 2000 and since then have played at some of the heavyweight clubs… including Tidy’s Magna Revolution event in September last year. More recently they’ve also become highly regarded in the production world, with – among others - releases on arguably two of the scene’s most exciting new labels, Synapse, as well as their own Submatic.
Anybody who’s been shopping for hard house records in the last year or so will have come across our next two DJs for this month… first up, Sam Hudson, aka one half of the mighty Masmada (along with our good friend Jukesy of JP & Jukesy fame). Sam has become one of the most prolific producers in the scene, with a stream of releases appearing last year on the mighty Nukleuz, Vicious Circle and Deprivation labels, and mow features heavily in the record boxes of all of the harder DJs around. It looks like 2005 will be equally successful, as it will undoubtedly be for Chris Hoff! Already responsible for the immense ‘Controllin’ Me’ which was released by Tidy Trax last month, Chris is set to take club land by storm this year, with several releases already on the cards, and more coming out of his studio on an almost daily basis, Chris will - for the first time ever – play an entire set of his own tunes and remixes, ranging from trance, to techno, to hard house, and beyond!
As usual of course, Steve James will be about with his ridiculously uplifting hard sound… and for something a little bit more mellow to get you started this month we’ve asked local trance head Roger K, of the Cellar Bar’s very own ‘Trance-It’ night (and formerly Brazen), to join us too.
