Join us this month as Chew The Fat! hosts the Menu Music launch party @ The End!!
Menu Music is a new and innovative label headed by Jay Cunning and Atomic Hooligan’s Matt and Terry. The Menu label spawned from Jay and the Hooligan’s ‘Menu Music’ show on Breaks FM and will focus on the musical and party side of Breaks, an unashamed move to get the girls “shaking their thang on the dance floor”. An ideology that we at Fat! thoroughly endorse, and indeed encourage.
Mr. Cunning has been living up to his name of late; as he is involved in a number of production projects with top names such as Smithmonger, One Sinner and Atomic Hooligan. Jay is a resident at Andy C’s Ram night at The End and head of A&R for Andy’s Breaks label Raw 24. Jay is also part owner of Breaks FM and he also regularly fills in for Tayo on Kiss FM Breakbeat Show.
Botchit and Scarper’s Atomic Hooligan have been a consistently rising force in Breaks. They were voted the 7th best DJs at the 2005 breakspoll awards, and their production work is now receiving similar recognition. The Hooligan’s last single Shine a Light was the BBC single of the week, and their other notable production work includes their new album You Are Here and remixes for Underworld.
Menu Music’s live showpiece is Jay Cunning & Atomic Hooligan’s incredible “7 Decks and FX” show, which features the beat-boxing talents of our dreadlocked resident and host, MC Xander.
They\'re also servin\' up Menu\'s no.1 boy from Finland Rico Tubbs who\'s set to unleash the stupidly funky single Flash Lighter. be sure to hold tight as this lucky fellow has got more bounce to the ounce. Also gracing us on the decks from the Menu crew will be their Radio Resident, Poor Old Dave aka POD. Dave found big success in 2004 with his killer track The Anti/Get Loose alongside Bowser (Andy Gardner from The Plump DJs), which was released on Finger Lickin’s offshoot Vinyl Breaks.
...AND after all this Menu madness, Fat! are pleased to welcome back JDS, one of the hottest DJ/Production tag teams working in Breaks today, and lets not forget our beloved Residents DJs, Fat! Boss Paul Arnold and his faithful companion Friendly.
