little bit 'bout
A giant in the fields of techno, disco and delirious house, with records on the mighty Gigolo and Eskimo imprints, Naughty comes to play at Lilo's Unsound System alongside Cape Town's disco don, Pierre, this May.

Naughty (aka Filippo Moscatello) released his first records on Russ Gabriel's Ferox imprint (tracks that were featured on Richie Hawtin's MixMag compilation) and naturally gravitated towards Berlin's techno juggernaut Gigolo Records, where he produced DJ Hell's 'Munich Machine' album and unleashed his debut long-player 'Disco Volante', a fusion of Nu Yorican influenced house and disco.

He's gone on to remix Fischerspooner, Goldfrapp, Tiga, Inner City, Telex and Martini Bros, and has lent his highly original skills to The Glimmer Twins' Eskimo Recordings. 12"s released under the pseudonym Silver and Gold were loved by a diverse cross-section of DJs, from Laurent Garnier and Ewan Pearson to Harvey and New York's hot disco darlings Rub 'n' Tug. In 2005 he released his first official compilation 'One Naughty Night in Berlin' on Eskimo (an 'Album Of The Month' in the influential IDJ Magazine).

Now Naughty returns to Johannesburg following a much-vaunted venture a few years back, and arrives at Unsound System with Cape Town's own Midnight Man, Pierre, in tow. Pierre currently heads two of the Mother City's main nights, Future Retro Friday nights at Roosevelt (an eve of music without boundaries) and the irregular Black Disco events (which focus on leading edge disco-id sounds).

As if this wasn't enough to satiate dancefloor appetites, Unsound System regulars Dexterity and Offbeat provide tasty back-up. More Fuel firsts for thirsty party fiends?
