Not content with tour nights in Norwich and Southend - and two London residencies, Kidology is heading to the south coast on Friday 23rd May for a night of outrageous fun at one of Brighton’s institutional venues, The Honey Club.
The Honey Club, usually host to its own in-house parties, will open its doors for the London born promotion for a night of uplifting and bass-driven house music – a style synonymous with the Kidology night and record label of the same name. Kidology’s trademark at these nights is a group of saucy ladies named The Kidettes whose dress sense is glamorously silly and colourful, as is their appetite for entertaining guests and getting up to mischief around the club.
Kidology’s head honcho, and internationally acclaimed producer Mark Wilkinson (aka Dab Hands) will hold the reigns at the event, as well Kidology’s residents Eddie Kid (former Streets key-board player), and The Persuaders – a firm favourite with John Digweed.
To celebrate its Brighton debut, Kidology will bring in some added entertainment to the night. Taking to the pole will be dancer Chiqui who’s ability to wrap and bend her body around the pole is truly breathtaking. The Kidettes will also be adding colour to the town of Brighton in an Ibiza style street parade! Keep an eye out for this.
This event also marks the release of ‘London After Dark’ – Kidology’s debut compilation series, mixed and compiled by Mark Wilkinson himself, which is available now from www.kidologyrecords.com
This is quite possibly a match made in Heaven. Brighton has been calling out for a house night this flamboyant for some time, and Kidology is only happy to fill these pearly dancing-shoes - expect the unexpected!
