GREG DOWNEY This New Years Eve, H2O welcomes Greg Downey. Belfast-born Greg began DJing over six years ago. Greg has worked hard to establish himself and is currently at No. 82 on the Dj Mag top 100 list and is firmly among the best young DJs in the UK. Greg developed a taste for tougher electronic dance music from a young age and this is reflected in his unique style, which combines underground and uplifting trance with elements of techno. This is all rolled into an explosive performance, which sees him using 3 CDJs, Serato Scratch Live, Pioneer DJM 800 and EFX 1000 to devastating effect. Greg has gone from strength to strength, spinning to packed crowds at Lush, Godskitchen, Slinky, Inside Out, Goodgreef, Passion, Gatecrasher, The Gallery and many more including dates around the world in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Shanghai, Poland and Indonesia. In 2007, Greg attracted the attention of John Digweed with his remix of ‘Heaven Scent’, which featured on the massive Cream’s Ibiza 2007 compilation and championed by Eddie Halliwell on his Radio 1 show. Greg has enjoyed huge success with his own track, ‘Vivid Intent’ last year, which Armin Van Buuren picked as his ‘tune of the week’ on his award-winning State Of Trance radio show! Supported regularly by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiesto ,Armin, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Sander van Doorn Above and Beyond and many more, Greg also has the release of his new track ‘Once Again’ to look forward to. SOPHIE SUGAR This NYE H2O also welcomes Sophie Sugar "The First Lady of Trance" DJ Mag 2008 Sophie Sugar is one of the rising stars of the global trance scene. An established international DJ in her own right and now making waves around the world as a talented and exciting producer.She has played across the UK and in Ibiza, and in 2004 was delighted to win the prestigious Gallery/DJ Magazine DJ competition. In 2005 and 2006, Sophie released the hugely successful tracks 'Call of Tomorrow' and ‘Isis’, on respected labels Galactive and ATCR, both of which received support from many of the world's top DJs including Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren. Sophie has a growing worldwide fan base in Canada, Morocco, Abu Dhabi, China, Europe and leading UK nights such as The Gallery, Serious and Passion. In 2007, 'Fallen Too Far' became a worldwide smash hit after being signed to Armin Van Buuren’s world-renowned label Armada. The track received heavy support from the world’s A list trance DJs. This was followed with 'Day Seven', which Armin chose to feature on ‘A State of Trance 2007’, 'Sense of Connection' and Sophie’s very own interpretation of the Art of Trance anthem 'Madagascar'. DJ FRESH DJ Fresh first became known for his breakfast slot on radio station YFM (which he hosted for eight years) and later as the host of the Drive Time (16h00 - 19h00) on 5FM. DJ Fresh has 13 house albums under his belt and has shared the DJ booth with a number of international artists, including "Little Louie" Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Armad Van Helden and Dominic Spreadlove and played in Southport in 2000 and at the legendary Pacha in Ibiza in 2002. He was also part of a team of DJ's who performed at the Miami Winter Music Conference.
