More: Touring his new album “Quasars & Phasars” across Europe, Robert Strauss hits the Medicine basement with a performance using the revolutionary Ableton Live. “Quasers & Phasars" is a space age dance record that encapsulates disco, boogie, funk, mid tempo soul and broken beat into a coherent sound. Creating music without limits is worth all the money in the world as Robert strives to re-interpret the past in a modern way. He will soon stand out in his genre as someone who accomplishes this with ease…and it was no surprise that Freerange Records were quick to sign the album to sit alongside their nu-disco and dancefloor boogie roster of artists.

Red Rack'em burst onto the scene late last year with their much lauded remake of 'I'm not Feeling You' by Yvette Michelle which had DJ wetting their pants everywhere and was made ROTW on Fat City. Since then they've 'worked' with Missy, Tweet, Ty, Nas and many more on their voyage of audio plunder. Red Rack'em 003 has just dropped and it's a fresh look at Ho's by Ludacris. The disco re-edit sister label Rack'em Up has been a similiar success story with DJ support from the Idjut Boys, Jazztronik, Yam Who, Unabombers and even some chap called Carl Craig. Expect to hear upfront re-edit booty, the finest broken and some freshly hacked up disco.

What they say about Robert Strauss:
Straight No Chaser “Subtle touches of Prince, Moodyman minimalism then fade to black and dusty funk 45 territory…this CD is like a bare knuckle ride through the mind of Robert Strauss.”
XLR8R “Pick this one up, your dancing shoes will be glad you did.”
I-DJ “A variety box of electronic soul. Superb.”
