At the start of the eighties, Tobias was infected with the sound of Jamaica, through David Rodigan's 'Roots Rockers' show on Capital Radio.
After first visiting Jamaica in 1992 for the infamous Reggae Sunsplash Festival in Montego Bay and forming London reggae band Organix, Tobias and his wife Susie, set up Reggae Rockers to DJ and promote reggae nights across London, alongside Sardinian selecta Matti Dread. Matti's links to reggae began whilst working for independent radio show Kumina Beat at Blackout Radio in Turin and progressed into producing dub tracks and DJing.
After much success at Inspiral Lounge in Camden, Reggae Rockers joined forces with talented vocalist Ramon Judah (an integral part of the London sound system scene for over 20 years) who brought his highly conscious lyrics to the lineup, to host and vocalize the dub versions.
In 2011, Reggae Rockers have been busy in the studio, writing new riddims with Ramon.
Guest DJ this month is Mr Faso, a regular feature at Rootikal, alongside David Rodigan.
