Following the launch of Charlie Chester's freshest new night in London this May, in association with Playground (www.playgrounduk.co.uk), the next installment at award-winning oasis, EGG (www.egglondon.net) in King's Cross, sees two of the UK’s biggest names in House music join forces for what looks set to be one of the biggest parties of the Summer. We are joined by Terry Farley, gaffer of the Junior Boys Own record label. Terry is also co-founder of those well-loved Faith (www.faithfanzine.com) parties, which he runs alongside Bill Brewster and Dave Jarvis. Farley, known as a superbly successful producer and remixer, has worked frequently alongside Pete Heller. Together, they produced one of the biggest house tunes of the 90’s, ‘Ultra Flava’. Farley has also remixed the likes of U2 and Primal Scream. Joining Terry on the Terrace Floor of beautiful EGG will be Dave Jarvis, main man of Kingston's Banquet Records (www.banquetrecords.com). Also featuring is Charles Large, Vikki Paris and Jaffar.
Down on the Ground Floor, contrast is offered in the way of a feast of deep, tech-driven, tribal, big-bass beats. The Playground collective entertain the London club population once again supplying the dirtiest underground rythms. Circo Loco's favourite tribalist, Jo Mills, lays down her deep and twisted tribal sound. Jo’s latest track with Steve Mac, ‘House Arrest’, which was released on Farley's label, has been doing the rounds properly and gets plays from the likes of Steve Lawler and Danny Tenaglia. Jo continues her much-loved weekly residency again this year for Circo Loco at DC10. Ably supporting Jo, will be Playground residents, Cedric Maison, Jack Vullings, Alex Marks and CJ Drury.
Up in The Loft, we are graced by one of the UK’s most well-regarded club nights with BacktoBasics hosting. None other than Basics frontman and all-round mad-hatter, Dave Beer. Dave, like Terry Farley, is one of the UK's house-scene pioneers. Basics was born in 1991 and since then, Dave has been providing the city of Leeds with some of the finest DJs from all over the world, including Danny Tenaglia, DJ Rolando & Derrick Carter plus many more. BacktoBasics has grown on the strength of their superb resident DJs putting on the finest parties. Joining Dave will also be local legend, Buckley, Gary Gecko and Darren & Spencer.
