Turnmills are extremely proud to welcome a brand new night for London – Black Wiz, featuring one of the all-time DJ greats… Sandy Rivera. Widely regarded as one of house music’s most prolific and world renowned Producers, Sandy will play an extended 6 Hour Set to launch the night in style on Saturday 17th June, with selected guests filling up the slots in the other two rooms. Black Wiz is the name of Sandy’s record label – which he first launched back in 1994 originally as a hip hop label. Oddly enough, Black Wiz was funded partly through a publishing deal with, bizarrely, Burt Bacharach… and now 12 years on, Sandy is breathing new life into the label with the imminent release of ‘Just Won’t Do’ - a collaboration with fellow house hero Robert Owens. With Sandy hitting the decks at midnight, the all important warm up slot will be left in the capable hands of Defected’s newest star James Jackson. Meanwhile, a short shuffle into the smaller intimate T2 room and you’ll find the Good Life crew in full affect. DJs include Femi B, Richard M, DJ Lewi and Decasa, with Motherfunkers presenting live percussion, dancers, performers and more in T3.
