Background
Updated 14-10-05 11:10
Gordon Darling started playing out in February 2002 under the guise Mash Gordon, which has since been changed to new performance name Gordon Darley.
His first set was at a small club in Croydon in Surrey for a small one off party playing back to back with long time friend and DJing partner Seany Sean. He has since had bookings for a variety of promotions across the capital, at most of the major hard dance venues including SEOne, Camden Palace (now Koko), The Scala and Brixton Academy etc, as well as the well established smaller venues such as Club 414 and Deep Blue.
The highlight of his career so far was playing to a 700 strong crowd at SEOne for Frantic at the critically acclaimed Chemistry event.
He holds his own well even when thrown in at the deep end and playing alongside such names as BK, Lab4, Proteus and Andy Whitby to name a few, with his trademark “anything goes” musical tastes.
To put a finger on Gordon’s style is near impossible, but when asked, he can only describe his sound as “Gordon Music” – if he isn’t blown away 110% by a track, you won’t find it in his play list. Mainly the techier and groovier end of tough dance music, you will hear him play a variety of sounds including anything from psy-trance, to techno and tech-trance, through to the fiercest of hard house. Not afraid to mix the old with the new, and the anthems with the obscure, you can guarantee that Gordon can rock most dance crowds any time of night!!
Resident and promoter at 123 (billed by Frantic as “One of London’s most forward thinking small party”) he strives to constantly discover new music by booking DJs to play, and playing almost any style of dance music.
He is currently striving to forward his career with production work, and more sets nationwide, as well as working towards playing internationally.

Although I've been lucky to have done what I have in a relatively short space of time, I'm still aching to play a main room or two in London.
Aside from that, I have a few plans to get into the studio between now and next spring. Ultimately, I wan...[expand]
