Illogik - Make a Miracle

Worst DJing moment: | In the middle of a perfect mix out of 'Spacehopper' by Nik Denton and Paul King one of the records started skipping and I had to pull out to the beginning of the next tune before the bassline came in. I shouted my apologies to the crowd, but I think I got away with it because as soon as everyone heard 'Dum Chick BADASS!' heads were down and the stomping started again even harder than before! |
Most enjoyable set you've played: | Recently at Afterlife at the George playing a 2 and a half hour set when everything seemed to go right. Various random clubbers were insisting that I "keep it bouncy", and the atmosphere was so great I'm sure I was dancing harder than they were if that's possible! Ironically this was the same set as my 'worst moment'... |
When you're not DJing you're: | watching the A-Team. |
Favourite DJ: | Lisa Pin-Up, and I suppose I'd have to say Alex Parsons isn't bad either... |
Favourite Venue: | The George has always been a favourite, as is the Fridge, although it was better with the cafe... |
Favourite Promotion: | Afterlife, XLR8 was great back in the day |
Favourite Producer: | Whoever's behind Cheeky Trax
BK
Illogik
|
Favourite Label: | Nukleuz Blue and Red, but the stuff from a couple of years ago
Cheeky Trax
Tripoli Trax |
Biggest Influence: | I suppose Alex Parsons. He introduced me to this crazy hard house world and showed me how to mix house (I used to be a hardcore junglist and didn't understand the idea of structure in dance music!) |
Drink: | Any kind of lager that I can get for six (or more) cans for a fiver! |
Words of wisdom: | "It's all about the BOINK!" |
